->Generate as many one-way, non-reciprocal links as possible. Make sure your link is listed by credible websites ONLY.
->Your "Link Pop" can be improved when the websites that link to yours have a higher Google PR than you do. This is considered a heavily weighted "vote" towards your site. However, do make sure to link to pages with various PR's.
->Create reciprocal links with websites that are relevant to yours. If your website sells cat toys, link to a pet lover's site, and cat-sitting service, etc.
->You provide one-way links to other sites that are relevant to yours. As long as you don't have too many uncategorized links, this will not hurt your site's "Link Pop"; however, it does not directly contribute to improving it.
->Do not submit your website to "Link Farms" or "Free-For-All" (FFA) directories. Google views these as spam sites and will thus lower your PR.
->Exchanging links with irrelevant websites can lower your PR. ONLY reciprocate links with similar credible sources. Just think: "Is this valuable to my readers?"
->Make sure to vary your links. A reciprocal-link campaign with no non-reciprocals tells Google your site isn't worthy of one-way links.
->Do not submit to sites or directories having 50 links on a single page.
->Use different anchor text to link to your site.
->Write free articles for an article directory. This allows people to read your work and publish it for free. Make sure to include a Bio Box that includes a link to your site. Stipulate that the article may be reprinted for free as long as the Bio Box is included. This will instantaneously provide extra links to your page when people reprint your work.
->Never underestimate the power of blogs. Talk to bogglers about links and posts about your website. The blogging community is ever-growing, and blogmasters are always looking for cool new things to post.
->Give away awards to other sites that you find particularly outstanding. Provide a graphic with the award title and a link to your webpage.
->If we want good traffic, optimize Ur site in such good way that it comes on the first page of the unique keywords which the users will be typing in for their search. Though it’s not easy but if you make it there, you will be seeing a flow of visitors to your site.
->Email other webmasters and simply ask for a link. Let them know why your website will benefit their readers, and provide a pre-coded html link for them to cut and paste to their page.
->Always Posting Press releases, Forum posting, Article, Blogs.
